CURA was founded by six researchers that worked together on the CARESSES project: a project to develop the first robot to care for older people that can adapt to the person’s culture.
The CURA team has experience performing cutting-edge research and developing Artificial Intelligence and Robotics applications, as well as proven track records in creating and managing innovative startups for developing, marketing, and distributing AI and Robotics products and services.
Nak Young Chong, Ph.D. Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer. He is a Professor at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan.
Carmine Tommaso Recchiuto, Ph.D. Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Genova, Italy.
Jaeryoung Lee, Ph.D. Co-founder. She is a Senior Assistant Professor at Chubu University, Japan.
Roberto Menicatti, Co-founder. He is a Computer Graphics teacher at BigRock “Institute of Magic Technologies.”
Amit Kumar Pandey, Ph.D. Co-founder. He serves as the Chief Scientist, CTO, and Chief AI Officer at beingAI.
Antonio Sgorbissa, Ph.D. Co-founder. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Genova, Italy.
